Business Development Manager 

PatentStatus is looking for a Business Development Manager that is a self-starter who can build and close a steady pipeline of business in a short period of time.

 What You Will Do:

  • Sell our unique patent mapping and virtual marking software to large intellectual property teams inside the world’s most innovative companies.
  • Call on senior-level corporate counsel and other executives (General Counsel, Patent Counsel, CFOs, Directors of R&D, VPs of IP, VPs of Engineering, etc.).
  • Generate, develop, and close new business through professional, dedicated prospecting, and cold-calling
  • Work closely with prospective clients to understand their business objectives and manage a consultative sales process
  • Manage sales planning, forecasting, and analysis activities within our internal CRM system
  • Manage sales opportunities throughout the sales cycle, with online demos, phone calls, email communications, and more.
  • Qualify all leads and own the sales cycle from lead generation to close
  • Maintain a high activity level with prospects.
  • Meet and exceed all quarterly and annual sales goals.

 

The Skills You Have to Accomplish the Mission:

  • A proven ability to cultivate relationships and act as a closer demonstrated by a track record of sales success with large corporate clients.
  • A minimum of 3 years of software sales experience, preferably in the SaaS or interactive marketing space
  • You enjoy learning and have the ability to learn quickly in a rapidly evolving space

E-Marketing Coordinator

PatentStatus is looking for an E-Marketing Coordinator that is a self-starter with a true digital savvy for marketing and marketing analytics.

What You Will Do:

  • Market in a variety of online channels our unique patent mapping and virtual marking software to large intellectual property counsel inside the world’s most innovative companies and to the most savvy IP law firms in the U.S.
  • Manage the day to day operation and presence of our e-marketing channels including SEM, SEO, Social Media and blogging with a majority focus in email marketing.
  • Support our sales and lead generation efforts by designing, writing and editing targeted e-marketing collateral and campaigns to drive business.
  • Maintain our master CRM data.
  • Coordinate planning, forecasting, and analysis activities of our e-marketing strategies.

PatentStatus is looking for an Intellectual Property Account & Implementation Manager that can work directly with prospective and existing clients to successfully implement and leverage our cutting edge software.

What You Will Do:

  • Be a product expert on our unique patent mapping and virtual marking software, working directly with the executives and intellectual property counsel inside the world’s most innovative companies.
  • Manage the successful implementation of new clients into our software and support their ongoing use of the platform.
  • Support our sales and lead generation efforts by being a subject matter expert who is presenting and pitching the virtues and capabilities of our software through Webex and in-person sales presentations
  • Build product intelligence and identify opportunities for business growth from existing clients to drive increased revenue and value.

PatentStatus is looking for an excellent Lead Development Coordinator that will help us grow our pipeline of qualified companies who could benefit from our IP software. This job offers a highly flexible schedule – your performance will be judged on results, not hours completed.

What You Will Do:

  • Have a solid understanding of our unique patent mapping and virtual marking software, as well as competitive product offerings, in order to communicate them to prospective customers inside the world’s most innovative companies.
  • Have conversations with potential prospects with a goal to generate qualified sales appointments and/or event registrations our business development team.
  • Research and build a qualified list of contacts, telephone and email contacts with potential prospects.
  • Follow-up on leads from inbound sources (events, web, phone, etc) to schedule appointments for our team.

PatentStatus is looking for a seasoned writer with a panache for legal topics and issues. We’re growing our thought leadership content on patent marking, patent utilization and business strategies around patent portfolios and need a fast-writing content producer to help us create and get published content around these topics to both local and national outlets (in addition to our own online content channels). This job offers a highly flexible schedule – your performance will be judged on results, not hours completed.

What You Will Do:

  • Create original, practiticioner-relevant content about topics that help position the value of our patent mapping and virtual marking software that will be placed in bar association newsletter, legal publications and trade journals.
  • Interview corporate counsel and outside legal counsel on legal topics to include them in our publications.
  • Pitch and submit story ideas to various media publications and web sites.

 

The Skills You Have to Accomplish the Mission:

  • A proven ability to produce credible, AP-style written content on trade and industry topics of the legal nature.
