Does Every Product Require A Unique Virtual Marking?
Currently neither the AIA, case law nor USPTO guidelines have specified or implied that the virtual marking affixed to an article must be unique to a specific product (i.e. patent.company.com/modelx/, etc.).
There is a general consensus within the patent counsel community that a singular, universal virtual marking that directs competitors and consumers to a landing page or directory of all related products will satisfy the intent of the law.
